Additional Information:

Many food rescue organizations work by linking food donors with local agencies and letting them take care of the necessary transportation arrangements. At Community Harvest, our program provides direct delivery by collecting excess food from local donors during the morning and delivering to shelters and hot meal programs that same afternoon. Community Harvest is now a “link” for over 100 local restaurants, caterers, grocery stores, farmers, and hospital kitchens to donate their unused and healthy food to 32 community-based organizations in Stark County, Ohio. We do have specific requirements for our partnering shelters and hot meal programs as well as our food donors.
